2020 FVWC Summer Camp

All Summer Camps are Tuesday thru Friday. If you register for all four days, your camper will receive a FVWC Summer Camp shirt! Please click the following links, as well as register for the correct age group below. Registration is based on the grade the child will enter in the fall.

PreK - First Grade
PreK - First Grade
June 16 to June 19, 9am - 12pm "Animal Homes" Campers will learn about the diversity of "homes" in the animal kingdom. Campers will test their engineering skills to craft animal homes of their own.
Second - Third Grade
Second - Third Grade
June 23 to June 26, 9am - 12pm "Animal Communication" Sound isn’t the only way animal communicate. Campers will learn about different communication methods in the animal kingdom and venture into the Elburn Forest Preserve to look for signs of communication in the animal kingdom
Fourth - Sixth Grade
Fourth - Sixth Grade
July 14 to July 17, 9am – 2pm "Animal Adaptations" Why do some animals have teeth and others do not? Why are some animals diurnal while others are nocturnal? Campers will learn about various adaptations in the animal kingdom. Please pack a lunch each day.
Seventh - Ninth Grade
Seventh - Ninth Grade
July 21 to July 24, 9am – 2pm "Citizens Scientists" Campers will become the scientists during this camp as we participate in citizen science research studies. Please pack a lunch each day.
