Youth RehabCorpsIs your child in grades 5-8, and interested in helping wildlife? Join our youth service-learning club, Youth RehabCorps. Each meeting will include an opportunity to wildlife up close and learn about their natural history, how we care for injured and orphaned wildlife, the environment we share, and our impact. Participants also engage in service-learning projects aimed at benefitting the wildlife center's mission such as building squirrel boxes, preparing enrichment toys and packaging owl pellets. (Note: topics and service projects subject to change.) Meetings will be from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm the second Thursday of every month: October thru May. Registration is required and limited to 20 students.

Beer TastingJoin us Riverlands Brewing Company for a Beer Tasting, Sunday, October 20, 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm! You will receive a flight of four beers, a tour of the facility and some light hors d'oeuvres. The tour begins at 1:00 pm, so don't be late!
SpooktacularJoin us for some Spooktacular Fun, Saturday, October 26, 12:30pm until 2:00 pm! Fox Valley Wildlife Center will be having some Halloween fun, including games, crafts, animal meet and greets and pumpkin decorating. Come dressed in your best (family friendly) costume. The event will be at the pavilion inside the Elburn Forest Preserve. Pre-registration requested. $5 suggested donation per person.
Evening Hike - Hooting SeasonJoin us as we journey into the Elburn Woods Forest Preserve to listen for the hoots of owls. Families are welcome. Each hike poses new opportunities to see the creatures active in the evening. Hikes are from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Families are welcome. No flashlights nor owl calls please, as we do not want to disturb the natural calls of these majestic animals.
