The first of our at-home lab series! What is an owl pellet, and why do owls make them? We will be getting our hands messy while we find out firsthand what an owl pellet is made of (pellets generously provided by our resident owls!). Program supplies will be provided and will be available for pickup at our Elburn Forest Preserve location or St. Charles office. Program is for ages 6-10 years old and held over Zoom.

No need to be an artist! We will learn about the importance of scientific sketches, and how to create them. Only a pencil and paper are needed, although other coloring supplies are encouraged. Program is for all ages and will be held on Zoom.

Learn about the importance of protecting our environment with a hands -on activity. Recreate the effects of an oil spill to see the impact it has on the environment and wildlife, and act as a wildlife rehabilitator to help the animals affected in your oil spill! Program supplies will be provided and will be available for pickup at our Elburn Forest Preserve location or St. Charles office. Program is for ages 7-11 years old and will be held on Zoom.
