Ashley Flint, Director

Ashley Flint is the newest Director at the Fox Valley Wildlife Center. She began her work in wildlife rehabilitation right after high school, volunteering every week at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center through college. She worked to rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife including owls, hawks, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, and a variety of songbirds and shorebirds.

Ashley received her B.A. in Biology from Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL) in 2008, and then took on more responsibility by becoming a Seasonal staff member at Willowbrook for a period of three years.  During the winters, while not at Willowbrook, Ashley did an internship and then a seasonal position at the Brookfield Zoo as a zookeeper in the Tropic World Section, providing care to a variety of primates.

She started her career at Fox Valley in Feb. of 2011 as the education coordinator and a wildlife specialist.  She started here as the Director in Jan. of 2012.

Animal Care is her primary passion in life and she couldn't imagine doing anything else.  Fox Valley is a place where she loves to "give animals a second change" by "helping wildlife in need."
